The Divine Comedy [12] Inferno

Satan.Lucifer.
Beelzebub.
Devil.
Y'all may know him by his many names but I know him by just one.
Boss.
I found him there trapped waist deep in an icy prison. The Boss finds himself with quite the predicament... the more he flaps his wings and tries to break free... the more the ice cold wind glazes over his frozen shackles.
Imagine his plight if y'all will. Here we have a creature born of pure deepest darkest sin. Yet he can't go topside and impose his will. No... this monstrosity just snaps and snarls... tears mixin' with the blood of Brutus and Cassius as he chews 'em on down for all eternity.
All that potential just goin' by the wayside...
...which is where ol' Jeremiah comes in.
I say ol' Jeremiah... well... I'm not ol' Jeremiah at all. I know now what I really am... who I was... who I will be. Jeremiah was just a vessel... just like all the vessels that went before him... a means to an end so to speak.
You may recall my recent efforts on September eleventh. A day that will live long in the memory. Osama Bin Laden was surely one of my finest works.
See it's not that easy to influence people anymore. In times gone past I've found it easy to impose his will upon a larger audience... nineteen thirty nine to nineteen forty five sure was a simpler time... I still remember standing before the masses... arm outstretched... screaming in my native German. Adolf Hitler was some gig, I still remember watching over the faces in the crowd, taking in my every word.
Ah the hatred burning in their eyes.
It was a simpler time.
Hearts and minds just aren't as easy to win as they once were, though every now and then I surprise myself, a Waco here, a Jonestown there, don't think I've got another Nanking in me but I'm holding out.
I guess being the evil that men do...
...there'll always be a place for me.
Time to bring this adventure to a close however. Unfinished business on the topside. A killing spree left incomplete.
Humanity needs to be reminded of the darkness inside each and every one of them.
A vessel awaits...
...I'll see you soon.
